Again and again you come across information boards in the municipality of Klettgau that are part of the "Klettgau themed trail". This was also the case on my bike tour today. When I was driving past two huge linden trees on the connecting road from Erzingen to Riedern, I saw the board and stopped.

The former village of Harthausen must have been at this point. Various documentary references suggest this. An old wooden water pipe in this area also confirms the assumption. Today only the field name Hartwette reminds of the submerged village. It is believed that the sinking can be dated between the 15th and 17th centuries.
