There are many rock crystal and gemstone exhibitions in the mountains. This exhibition (Kranzelbinder.at) is absolutely worth seeing. It starts with huge rock crystals in the outdoor area. The indoor exhibition is impressive and well worth the price of admission. You also learn something about the formation and coloring of agates.

Hiking

The bladder spaces in volcanic rocks are the most common places where agates can form, but agate can also be found in tunnels and crevices of various rocks.
The bubble spaces were created because the gases contained in the outflowing lava did not manage to escape to the surface, but were trapped in the cooled lava.
