The Heidsee lies at 1,484 meters and consists of a larger northern and a smaller southern part, which are separated by a dam. Although the lake is privately owned, it is allowed to swim in the southwestern part. In addition, numerous fish species such as char, brook, rainbow trout, minnows, carp and tench live in Heidsee. In winter, the water blanket is frozen and just beautiful to look at.
