  • The castle of Collioure was built between 1242 and 1280. The King Pierre d'Aragon, Peter the Catholic, entrusted this construction project to the Templars and thus to Foulques de Montpezat, the commander of Mas Deu. It was used as the castle of the kings of Mallorca. During the following centuries, several dynasties lived here and, through intrigue, always settled here as their residence.
