The Sogn Stiafen church was built at the beginning of the 16th century. developed. It was rebuilt and enlarged as early as 1689. It has a three-bay nave with two side chapels built in 1709 and a flat closed choir. The side chapels only extend to the main cornice. The side altars date from the period between 1710 and 1720. The bells are from Grassmayr, 18th century.The traveling painter Hans Ardüser created the ten-part cycle of pictures on the north wall of the church about the life of Mary in 1595. To the left of the pulpit these are: 1. The Assumption into Heaven 2. The Annunciation by Archangel Gabriel 3. The Christmas Crib 4. Adoration by the Three Wise Men 5. The 12-year-old Jesus in the Temple 6. The Resurrection of Christ and 7. Outpouring of the Holy Spirit. To the right of the pulpit follow 8. Mary visits Elizabeth and 9. Mary's coronation in heaven. In the second row there are 10. The apostles Peter, Andrew and Paul.The view into the choir with the three altars (5), which were built at the beginning of the 18th century, offers pure baroque enjoyment. The curved gable of the main altar with God the Father and the angels is special.The two-storey ossuary in the cemetery shows the Mother of God between Stephen and Mauritius; purgatory is indicated below.
