Mountain biking
Lake Matemale is an artificial lake of 223 ha located at an altitude of 1,541 meters in the municipality of Matemale, in the Pyrénées-Orientales. The lake supplies the Escouloubre hydroelectric plant, it also helps to regulate the course of the Aude. The dam controlling the reservoir was built in 1959.
