Hiking

The Kleine Gerlachsbach meets the dam ditch near the iron source. Excess water flows over a weir from the ditch into the stream bed. With strong water flow, additional water can be withdrawn from the dam ditch by pulling up boards. After the completion of the Sperberhaier dam in 1734, the dam ditch ended at this point. But in the following decades it was extended further and further east.
