"Seen from the lower part of the town, it looks like a fairytale place, it stands on a hill surrounded by hills planted with olive groves, far from the town, embodies the quiet. Its origins seem to date back to the thirteenth century, thanks to some documents where it is mentioned and also to a precious seal with semi-gothic characters. The historian Tomassetti has hypothesized that it was built by the Benedictine monks of the Cistercian branch. The entire plant was built in local chiseled limestone. The facade and the portal are of great value. The interior, still rich in decorations and frescoes, has a single nave with asymmetrical chapels on the sides, the only authentic evidence saved from post-war ruins. The Abbey is located on the homonymous hill about 3 kilometers from the city center. It is visible from the country and its beauty makes it one of the most important places in the area. "
