Tidal barrier on the Geeste
On the Elbe-Weser shipping route from Bremerhaven to Otterndorf. It connects the Elbe and Weser and consists of the Hadelner Canal, the Aue, the Bederkesa-Geeste Canal and the Geeste. The Elbe-Weser shipping route is rarely used by commercial vessels. On the other hand, use by pleasure boats has increased. Its total length is 61.5 kilometers.
