Black Tor is made from three different rocky outcrops and the view from up here is simply stunning. Especially to Sourton Tors and Shelstone Tor in the north west.

Black Tor is known for its logan stone, the name given to a rock that sways when pushed. Logan stones have become separated from the rest of the rocks through erosion, but when 'logged' they pivot on a contact point and do not over balance. Logged means to roll around drunk in Cornish. The most famous logan stone in Cornwall is probably Logan Rock, near Treen, Penzance.
