Hiking

Münster's main train station is in the middle of the city. With its IC, EC and ICE connections, it connects Münster with the major cities of Germany and Europe. You can reach Münster several times a day without changing trains, e.g. B. from Hamburg, Bremen, Frankfurt, Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Berlin. Enschede (NL) is a good hour's train ride away.

Hiking

The first Münster station was opened in 1848, as the terminus of a branch line from Hamm. In 1856, the next connection to Rheine was put into operation. The Münster train station gained supraregional importance in 1870 with the connection to the Ruhr area and the continuation of the line towards Osnabrück and Hamburg in 1871/73.

The current station building was opened in 2017. Münster is connected to numerous long-distance and regional lines.
