A tip for everyone who wants to keep an eye on Ortisei. We recommend doing the ascent early in the morning and then enjoying the summit in the rising sun.
From here you can also get on the Höhenweg. However, you should be at the summit of the Ulrichhorn before 8 a.m. Then the tour can be done in one day (albeit challenging)
