Manor Hange was the ancestral seat of the Lords of Hange, which first appears in documents in 1304. The later owners were Budde after 1409, Schade zu Ihorst after 1587 and Ascheberg zu Venne after 1635. In 1872, the over-indebted estate was sold to bourgeois hands. At the end of the 19th century, the one-storey manor house was enlarged by a second floor. In 1910 it was acquired by the Thuin Franciscan nuns, who included the manor house in a new building. Today the estate is used as a drug rehabilitation center of the "Fazenda da Esperança".
