Access options:
Short walk (approx. 1–1.5 hours, 3 km, 240 meters elevation gain) from the "Unter dem Birg" valley station along the falls to Engstligenalp (approx. 2,000 meters).
Or take the cable car to the Engstligenalp plateau and return on circular hiking trails.⚡ Highlights & Special Features
The cascade is divided into two stages:
Lower Falls: approx. 97 meters
Upper Falls: approx. 165 metersFrom the "Chäligang" via ferrata (K2, approx. 600 meters long), you can climb directly along the waterfall – ideal for beginners and families.Alpine cattle drive spectacle in early summer: Around 350 cows and cattle move along the path through the rock face to alpine pastures – an impressive sight to watch.
