Downhill from Tofts Chase along a two part concrete farm track which fades out in to a mud track before changing to grass covered side of a field, ends up at the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation where there is a bridge over linking to Bridleway 270/1 leading to Bumfords Lane. Bridge has a low bar either side which you have to climb over to cross - not great for users other than by foot but you can lift a bike over it.
