The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Florian in Funnix, like many places of worship in Harlingerland, was built on a mound and dates back to the early 14th century.
Noteworthy inside the church is a three-wing carved crucifixion altar by an unknown artist from the third quarter of the 15th century, as well as the pulpit created by Jacob Cröpelin around 1650.

Hiking

The brick church “St. Florian ”in Funnix was built from 1330 onwards. In the interior of the church there is a relatively rich interior to see. The wood-carved three-part altar (from the 15th century) with the story of the crucifixion, the baroque pulpit and the rococo organ are particularly worth seeing. As with many East Frisian churches, the bell tower is a separate part of the building.
