St. Francis of Assisi and St. Klara, called Little Assisi - the church was built according to the design of Stanisław Niemczyk, on the plan of the Franciscan cross.
The construction of the church and the monastery began on May 4, 2000, and Father Wawrzyniec Jaworski was responsible for the course of the work. The design was made by Stanisław Niemczyk, with the cooperation of designers Marta and Leszek Weszke.
The construction of the church was based on the plan of the Franciscan cross. The character of the entire complex refers to medieval architecture, especially to St. Francis of Assisi. It is made of concrete and light dolomite from Libiąż.
The building consists of the upper and lower church. In the upper church there is a chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. The ceiling of the upper church is lined with wood. The current wooden altar resembles the panorama of Assisi. Opposite the altar, there is a space for a free-standing baptismal font, exactly below it there is a copy of the tomb of St. Francis. There is an additional octagonal turret directly above the altar.
In the lower part there are two chapels, copies of the Chapels in Assisi: Porcjuncululi and the chapel of the tomb of St. Francis. At the back of the chapel of St. Francis there are: a crypt (with the sacrament of penance) and a chapel of Divine Mercy. The cross-shaped ceiling of the lower church measures 100 m².
Outside, above the entrance to the church, there is a copy of the cross from San Damiano, carved by Fr.
Like the crypt in the basilica in Assisi, a round crypt with a radius of 8 meters was carved.
Since 1999, during the Christmas holidays, fathers have organized a live nativity scene.
