Today's recreation and nature reserve was created for hunting by Friedrich Wilhelm I in 1725. At that time there were enclosures with red deer, fallow deer and wild boar, later enclosures for partridges and pheasants were added.
Today you walk along a barefoot path and can find out about the local flora and fauna on the forest nature trail.

Several enclosures for red, wild boar and roe deer were built in the Tiergarten in 1725 in order to supply the nearby castle with game all year round.
Today the Tiergarten is a nature reserve with ancient trees and diverse vegetation divided into a western and eastern part, separated by the Fanggraben. Hikers receive information on local flora and fauna on information boards on the nature trail and the meadow orchard.

Most picturesque part of the tour, although you can hear the traffic in the background.
