Venice Beach is the approximately 4.5 km long sandy beach on the Pacific coast in the Venice district that was incorporated into Los Angeles in 1925. The beach section connects to Santa Monica Beach to the south.
Due to Southern California's mild climate, the beach is busy year-round. Especially on the weekends, the beach promenade, the Ocean Front Walk or Boardwalk for short, is lined with souvenir and sales stalls and is particularly attractive for Los Angeles residents and tourists alike. The walkers are then joined by street artists, drug addicts, musicians, painters, fortune tellers and artists.
A large number of constantly renewed or painted over graffiti can be seen on the concrete walls of houses, walls and sports fields. The Venice Beach Hall of Fame is well known in the global graffiti scene. (Wikipedia)
