This textile colony dates from 1923, when it was built from an old thread mill. The modernist-style project was supervised by Antoni Gaudí and covers an area of 140,000 m2. In 1859 a tannery was established, which later became a spinning mill. In 1930 it was bought by the Ymbern company and put into operation in 1931. In 1970 there were 144 inhabitants. From 1975 onwards, it gradually began to be abandoned, as the inhabitants bought houses in Torelló. The inhabitants of the colony came from the town of Priego, in Córdoba.
