The Elnhäuser Mühle is a beautiful little biotope that is located just before Elnhausen on the Huguenot and Waldensian hiking trail. I especially noticed very wet meadows and a small avenue of (manicured) pollarded willows.

Hiking

The mill was once a beautiful half-timbered mill on the Elnhauser Wasser, in operation as early as the 15th century.
By the 1970s, the mill had already fallen into disrepair, but its basic structure was still intact. At that time, it was a romantic and very popular location for parties and celebrations for Marburg students.
Today, only a few foundation walls, overgrown with undergrowth, remain of the property.
