From the railroad to the bats
The railway line between Luxembourg and Belgium
was in service until 1962.
After decommissioning, bats have taken up residence
in the tunnel adapted for their hibernation.
For decades, they have come for shelter every fall.
This tunnel is the most important hibernation lodge in northern Luxembourg
providing ideal shelter for 13 different species.
Do they really suck blood?
