MOCHENTAL CASTLE - THE BAROQUE CASTLE FOR MODERN ART
Modern art and baroque ambience: these two worlds meet in Schloss Mochental and create exciting contrasts. Built around 1730, the three-winged castle with its 365 windows used to belong to the Zwiefalten monastery. It served as a summer residence and in the representative Hubertussaal the abbots liked to dine with their guests.Today, one of the largest private galleries in the country displays a total of 2,500 square meters of changing exhibitions of classical modernism and contemporary art. Between expressive sculptures and abstract paintings, kinetic works of art and cosmic views of well-known artists, the viewer can feel like the child in the "Sterntaler", who unexpectedly falls into the lap of the treasures.Art:
