Melnice in German Melmitz is a small village in the municipality of Hostoun.
The once neat farmhouses are divided around the village pond and the village square.
A sculpture of St. Nepomuk on a small bridge can be seen here.
The church of St. Egidius, beautifully orphaned on the eastern outskirts, greets you from afar.
It is in a very neglected condition, almost invisible for the trees and bushes.
