Neugnadenfeld was founded in 1946 on the former site of the Alexisdorf prisoner-of-war camp by people displaced from the former eastern regions, most of whom belonged to the Moravian Brethren. Neugnadenfeld is the youngest, but also one of the most historic places in the district. While the first settlers initially lived in the barracks of the former prisoner-of-war camp, the first newly built houses were moved into in 1951.

That is why Neugnadenfeld is the youngest, but also one of the most historic places in the region.
