The Ettlmühle on the Ilz between Eberhardsreuth and Nendlnach is one of the old mills in the Bavarian Forest. Today's building from the late 18th century with its half-hipped roof is one of the most beautiful surviving mill buildings in Bavaria.

The Ilz gets its name at the confluence of the Großer and Kleiner Ohe at the Ettlmühle. The Ettlmühle is one of the most beautiful, still preserved mill buildings in Bavaria from 1788 and is privately owned. From here there is also a beautiful bike path along the Ilz.
