Here at the Great Brick Pond, the hiking trail initially leads past several ponds, the Great Brick Pond, the Field Pond, and the Vorwerk pond opposite. The ponds are part of the pond landscape near Königswartha and are used for fishing. Especially the carp that come from these ponds, at this point in Lusatia, are known far beyond the borders because of their good quality. That is why bathing and any kind of water sports are prohibited in all ponds here, which is indicated by signs.
