Kleistee
The Kleistee is a nature reserve that unites the characteristics of an old cultural landscape and an old dune landscape. It is located west of Ouddorp in an area with relatively high sandy soils. The Zuid-Hollands Landschap received a large part of the site on long lease in 1977 from a water company, now Delta N.V. The site has been kept as a reserve extraction site.
Since its acquisition, attention to the natural values has been concentrated on the low vegetation of sand banks and grasslands. In addition, oak fern and (lichen) moss on the ramparts and tooth grass, bird's foot and stiff eyebright in the grasslands are present as characteristic species. Management focuses on preserving the botanical values of banks and grasslands.

Kleistee: Natural and cultural history go hand in hand on the Kop van Goeree. Small and large areas combine to form a varied landscape. Wonderful for hiking and enjoying the special vegetation in the Kleistee, the Westduinen and the Preekhilpolder.
