The Saxon district captain Christian Wilhelm von Thümen had a baroque castle built on the foundations of an old castle between 1739 and 1741. Additions to the building have been preserved from 1804. The entrance to the farm was surrounded by a gardener's house, a wash house, a brewery, a horse stable and a carriage house.
Until the fall of the Wall, the manor house was used as a kindergarten, meeting room and company holiday home; The mayor also had his seat there. In 1994 it was transferred to the Brandenburg Palaces and extensively renovated. Since January 1, 2016, the castle's rooms have been available for corporate events, conferences, seminars and private celebrations (e.g. weddings). While the park is freely accessible, the castle can only be entered on guided tours to see the Sudermann Room.
