The first chapel in this place was mentioned in 1050. Today's late Gothic church was built around 1400.
From the 14th century to 1800 she was the destination of a pilgrimage with a healing book. At her death (February 5, 1075), Alta von Pürten bequeathed the precious Bible to the church. When sick people borrowed the book, they were cured.
The ensemble includes the St. Michael cemetery chapel and the rectory.
