The chateau in Horní Maršov, which stands almost on the Úpa River, was built at the end of the 18th century. It belonged to the Schaffgotsch family, but was taken over by the municipality in 1945.

Road cycling

A handsome late Baroque chateau built in 1792 with later Neo-Renaissance modifications, an example of small aristocratic residence in the Czech countryside from the last years of feudalism. It belonged to the Schaffgotsch, Aichelburg and Czernin-Morzin families. It was confiscated in 1945 and during the communist times housed a primary school, children's care home and even a cinema. Returned to the municipality in 1991, it was later put up for sale. In 2018 it suffered a devastating fire and lost a tower and roof. A group of six arsonists was caught by the police and sent to prison in 2020.
