Firstly, the view from the Josefswarte is magnificent: the Vienna Woods and the foothills lie at your feet.Secondly, you can stop for a bite to eat at the Kammersteiner Hut. The food is delicious. 👍

The cozy forest hut (572 m) is located southwest of Vienna on the Hinterer Föhrenberg in the Vienna Woods. It is a year-round destination for hikers looking for nature experiences just outside the capital. The house, which is open all year round, offers an ideal starting point to the Josefswarte viewing platform. From there, hikers can see the entire Vienna Basin eastwards to the Leitha and Rosalien Mountains, the Hundsheim Mountains and the Little Carpathians. To the west the view falls on the foothills of the Alps.
The hut has a large terrace and offers numerous hiking opportunities through the Vienna Woods. In winter the region is also popular with snowshoe hikers. You can't stay overnight here.
