The Kohlmaisbahn is particularly interesting for trail beginners, as it takes you to the Monti and Panorama Trail, two of the easier trails in Saalbach. The root trail over to Leogang also starts right at the mountain station. The train runs daily from 9 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. in summer.
