The Kellerskopfstollen in the Rambach district is the longest of the four Wiesbaden "drinking water mines" that were opened up at the turn of the century to supply Wiesbaden with water. This 4,251 m long tunnel, which passes under "Theißtal", "Hohe Kanzel" and reaches almost to Engenhahn, was built between 1899 and 1906 and was already being discussed as an alternative to the Schläferskopfstollen in 1883. Its average mountain cover is around 150 m thick and it can discharge up to 1 million m³ of uncontaminated water per year.
