The railway house is almost the only remnant that still reminds of the time when a tram ran between Denekamp and Oldenzaal.
Until 1936, the Spoorhuuske served as the terminus of that tram service. The last tram ran on May 14, 1936. Until the end of July 1942, the track was still used for freight transport. The rails were then broken up by the German occupiers and used in the war.
The building was completely restored in 2001.

Hiking
This was once the small Denekamp station on the Oldenzaal-Denekamp tram line. A little history is provided on an information board. Today, it houses a jewelry design shop.
