In the vineyard between Erlenbach and Klingenberg, directly on the Franconian red wine hiking trail, there has been the "terroir f Churfranken - the magical place of Franconian wine" since 2018.

The modern pavilions in Erlenbach and Klingenberg, in the middle of the Churfranken vineyards, not only offer visitors a wealth of information, but also provide a fantastic panoramic view of the steep red sandstone slopes and the sun-drenched river landscape of the Main. The two attractions were given the names "Erlenbacher Winzergold" and "Klingenberger Rotes Gold".

The "terroir f - magical place of Franconian wine" project aims to convey the value of the Franconian cultural landscape to consumers and visitors in a new and contemporary way. This is very well possible at the diverse interfaces between viticulture and nature, landscape, geology and history through innovative and creative communication.
The first magical place in the Miltenberg district focuses on the red sandstones and the steep terraced slopes. Steep slopes and terraced slopes are among the most fascinating cultural landscapes that man has created in the history of agriculture. However, the production of wine in these areas is becoming increasingly costly due to the still high proportion of manual labor. The working time required for grape production on a fully mechanizable slope is around 250 hours. In contrast, up to 800 hours are required on steep slopes with walls and up to 1,600 hours on terraced slopes.
