The Hersberg oak, or Altrier oak, is a pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) listed among the remarkable trees of Luxembourg. The tree, whose trunk houses a statue of the Blessed Virgin, is a place of Marian, local and cross-border pilgrimage.

The oak tree is located in a depression by the side of the road that connects the two Luxembourg localities of Altrier and Hersberg (commune of Bech), about 24 km northeast of the city of Luxembourg. Its age is estimated at around 500 years.
      Religion

Every year, on the evening of August 15 (Feast of the Assumption), a torchlight procession goes to the sound of bells near the Bildchen, where a solemn mass is then celebrated.

The Luxembourg name of the site, Heeschbrecher Bildchen, refers to the statue of the Virgin (Bildchen) installed in the hollow of the trunk of the tree.
