The city of Straubing has received funding from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety in the amount of almost 2.5 million euros with the project application “On Straubing's green paths - active climate-friendly mobile”. This money is intended to promote cycling and thus climate-friendly mobility. A central measure for this is the expansion of the footpath and cycle path on the Allachbach, for example by lowering the area of bridges and underpasses or by widening it.
