The Bauhaus monument at the Bundesschule Bernau is a fascinating site of modern architecture. Visitors can explore the building ensemble individually from the outside at any time. At eleven locations, outside boards with short texts and photos from the 90-year history of the Bundesschule provide insights and information. A free flyer attached to the site plans at two entrances to the campus supports and expands this tour.

The former federal school of the General German Trade Union Confederation (ADGB), which has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "The Bauhaus and its Sites in Weimar, Dessau and Bernau" since 2017, is now used by the Berlin Chamber of Crafts as a boarding school for apprentices. Visitors can therefore only enter the premises of the building and explore them together when accompanied by a guide on pre-booked tours. The tours usually take place on Thursdays and Sundays at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
