The Marienthal Church was built in 1782 on the north bank of the Wentow Canal, right next to the bridge that crosses the canal. What is unusual is that the half-timbered building was erected in a north-south orientation. Above the north gable is a small ridge turret with a curved hood.

The iron bell in the ridge turret was cast in 1734. The interior of the church was remodeled in 1960. The slightly lower sexton's house is attached to the north wall of the same width - also in half-timbering. In 1995 the building was renovated. In front of the church there is a memorial stone for those who died in World War I.
