Faro Airport (Portuguese: Aeroporto de Faro, IATA: FAO, ICAO: LPFR), officially Gago Coutinho Airport (Aeroporto Gago Coutinho), is located four kilometres west of Faro in Portugal. The airport opened in July 1965 being the main gateway to the year-round resort region of the Algarve with nine million passengers using the facility in 2019.

The airport is also easily accessible on foot from the city center. The path leads along the harbor and then through a long park. Many people and families gather here. The park is beautifully planted. It is reminiscent of an old state garden show site. There are playgrounds and sports equipment here and there. One or two art installations can also be found. After about 1-1.5 hours, you can reach the airport in a relaxed manner.
