The Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck was opened on September 28, 2007 in the Remagen district of Rolandseck. The museum is made up of the classicist station building and the new building designed by the American architect Richard Meier, which is "harmoniously" integrated into nature. It has a total of four exhibition levels, which are used with changing presentations. The program of the Drei-Sparten-Haus includes exhibitions with international visual arts, classical concerts and a summer chamber music festival with well-known ensembles and soloists, artist talks and readings by prominent authors. The focus is on the art of Hans Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp. In special exhibitions, sculptures and paintings by contemporary artists are shown in dialogue with these works. In addition, the museum is presenting paintings from the Middle Ages to modern times from the Rau Collection for UNICEF. The director of the museum is Oliver Kornhoff.
