Beautiful fountain and popular center of Bad Laaspher's old town. The predecessor, built in 1667, supplied the residents with drinking and extinguishing water until the end of the 19th century. From 1963 to 1994 there was no fountain here at all, until the history was remembered and the current one was built. The fountain festival takes place every year in June.

The source (fountain) in the old town of Bad Laasphe has been part of the townscape since 1667. In the past, the city source was used to provide the city with drinking water and fire extinguishing water (at that time, the houses in the old city still had thatched roofs.)
When designing the fountain, the intention was to create a connection to history. Three of the eight sides bear the coats of arms of the town of Bad Laasphe and the twin towns of Tamworth and Chateauneuf-sur-Loire.
