Behind a stele several meters high with an attached cross, four massive name boards with the names of the war dead from both world wars are attached to a brick wall. The soldiers buried behind the memorial were later reburied in the Vossenack Cemetery of Honor. In 1993 a bronze plate with the U.S. division crest was added 78th Infantry Division and the 272nd Volksgrenadier-Division are attached to the memorial, which reminds of the bitter house-to-house fighting between German and American soldiers in the winter months of 1944/45.

Cycling
The war memorial was only renovated last year. The village square and its paths are kept in good condition by the villagers. Actually, the memorial would also have a metal plaque that American veterans put up to commemorate the late 1990s. Unfortunately, this was stolen. A new board is being planned.
