This was the interpretation of hospitality in the past: Ludwigstor was built at the beginning of the 19th century on the occasion of a visit by King Ludwig I. I hope he appreciated it. It gives the pretty downtown of Türkheim namely a really nice atmosphere and is not in vain under monument protection. If you are already in Türkheim, it is also worth a detour to the castle with castle garden. Here is also the "Seven Swabia Museum", where you can learn all about the stories of the "Seven Swabians" by Ludwig Aurbacher, who was born in Türkheim.
