Everything is different up here. The sound of the birdsong more powerful. Air and light pure. The leaves more delicate, the sky closer. The treetop path in the Hainich National Park leads through the foliage of stately deciduous trees right up to the tree tops. Carefully, the wooden path reveals the secret of the otherwise inaccessible tree giants.
The treetop trail meanders 530 meters from the lower crown to the tops of the jungle treetops.
Rate from a guide! There is too much talk and the enjoyment of nature with the magnificent bird concert is lost. For information enough panels are appropriate.
Definitely choose a quiet time. WE definitely avoid it. Better to come in the afternoon, when busloads are through.
For parking 1 euro fee (keep in small change, is thrown for exit in vending machine)
The path runs through an old natural and pristine beautiful forest (is called primeval forest, pure deciduous forest) The branches are partly hanging at head height above the path, because you can look at the leaves and seeds closely. Gorgeous old grape beech and maple trees. If you love nature, this is ideal for you. You are very close to the birds who are holding a loud concert here. Absolutely avoid the weekend. I strongly recommend that you arrive at 2 pm so that the flow of visitors drops significantly.
