The tour "Genießerpfad - Peterstaler Himmelssteig" is excellent, varied and great to go, but very new and therefore not all routes are recorded on komoot. On the tour there are countless benches also occasionally with tables in a beautiful place to stay and vespern, further there are 4-5 fountains where various drinks (soda, lemonade, beer, cider, schnapps) are offered on a donation basis.

Many a stretch of the Himmelssteig meanders as a rustic path uphill downhill through the woods. You pass an enchanted mountain stream valley, the Holchen waterfall, the impressively steep "Himmelsfels".

Right at the beginning the forest takes you under its wing and gives you freshness for the 3 km long, steep ascent of the Himmelsteig. From 433 m to 657 m you go up to the first beautiful view of the upper Renchtal, which you can enjoy from an impressively long white fir bench.

For a while you are mostly on meadow paths, enjoy the wide sky and the mountain idyll, then dive back into the forest. Half time is at the romantic Holchen waterfall with a drink fountain, which attracts you to take a break. Or you dare to take the second steep ascent to Himmelsfels for a few hundred meters with a sky bed, resting benches and a view of the valley. From here the path changes its character more and more often, the forest paths through the beech and fir forests are varied, the meadow paths are secluded. Often a brook rushes somewhere. The last 5 km on the Himmelssteig can be hiked in such an idyllic way as if in flight.
