Great for last stop after a hard days ride. One can go swimming, have some food, or just relax before returning to your Tour! Can go into the water from just about anywhere! 5 km to bike around the Lake(Big part). The smaller part is Dirt and can not go swimming there as is the Nature section. There is an Aartal Grill where you can get food or also a Kiosk at the Swimming area with a restaurant. Costs 2.50 Euros to go swimming there. Changing rooms are also available as well as a Shower to rinse off after swimming. Great for Families.

The dam wall and the Aartalsee really have a very special position in the local LDK region. In fact, after the Edersee, the Aartalsee is one of the largest bodies of water in Hesse and a great local recreation area, not just for athletes.
