The beautiful quarry pond is located in the village of Kriessern in the municipality of Oberriet in the Rhine Valley. It lies at an altitude of 412 meters above sea level. The natural lake is almost 500m long and 100m wide. To the east of the popular local recreation area follow the motorway, the Rhine and the Austrian border. A circular path leads around the lake.
The “Kiosk am Baggersee” is located on the northern bank of the Oberrieter Baggersee and a campsite right next to it.

The former quarry pond is now a beautiful swimming lake. Quite big, lots of shade, good infrastructure. Ideal for families.
