The beach promenade of Reggio Calabria is very nicely developed. Here you will find bars, cafes and restaurants. You can also swim here or just lie on the beach. It's really practical that the beach is right in the center and the railway line runs underground here.
A striking point on the beach is the statue of Athena with Sicily as a background. The statue is a testament to the past when Reggio Calabria was a Greek port.
